West Michigan Bike MS

Team N3kk1d has provided cyclists to the West Michigan Bike MS event (previously the MS 150 Bike Tour) since 2003. Our team has grown from a handful of riders to a double group of both cyclists and volunteers who are involved in one or both days of the event. 2004 saw our first year as a Bronze Level fundraising group; we have consistently met award-winning fundraising benchmarks each year since.

Our cyclist team consists of both experienced and beginner-level riders. Several route options enable us to accommodate many levels of riding ability. Two-day cyclists and volunteers spend the night on location at the tour and are able to socialize with both their fellow teammates and also other participants as well.

Our 2012 West Michigan Bike MS event is slated for June 9th and 10th and we are recruiting both cyclists and volunteers for one or both days of the event. Feel free to email us with any specific questions you may have or to find out how you can get involved.

Fifth Third River Bank Run

The Fifth Third River Bank Run is the largest 25K road race in the United States with more than 20,000 runners, walkers, and volunteers. Team N3kk1d is dedicated to providing runners, walkers, and volunteers to the event to raise money for the fight against MS.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter is a proud charity partner for the River Bank Run and organized a team of more than 30 runners and walkers in a collaboration with the Team N3kk1d Family of Teams. Congrats to all of our River Bank Run participants and volunteers who helped make 2012's event possible!

ROCK MS

For several years now, the Team N3kk1d Family of Teams has hosted an annual fundraising event formerly known as the Wii Bowling Tournament. With the announcement of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Michigan Chapter's River Bank Run charity partnership, we have raised the bar and have moved the event downtown to Stella's Lounge as a part of Stella's two-year anniversary bash. The event is called ROCK MS and will occur on Sunday, May 20th from 6pm to 9pm. During this time, Stella's will donate a percentage of sales to the fight against MS. In addition, we'll have $1 raffle tickets, t-shirts, FREE Rock Band swag, and late-night gong show karaoke madness with Rock Band courtesy DJ Kermit!

ROCK MS 2012 was made possible by Godwin Plumbing, featuring the largest plumbing parts inventory in West Michigan, and Stella's Lounge, home of loud music, stiff drinks, and vintage arcade games for just a quarter each. Need we say more?

We know you want to tell all of your friends about this event, and perhaps even slap a copy of our promotional poster up on the entrance of your workplace or breakroom. You can even save some paper and download the quad-panel fliers we've whipped up! They look fantastic... thanks to Janelle Yahne for designing them!

Special thanks to all of our sponsors for this year's event: Harmonix, Screen Ideas, The Sloth Underground Production Studio, DJ Kermit, Target, Meijer, Guitar Center, On Stage Services, and Costco Wholesale.

Wisconsin Challenge Walk MS

Door County, Wisconsin is not only known all over the nation for its scenic beauty, but it is also the location for Challenge Walk MS: a 50 mile fundraising event over a three-day weekend. Participants must raise a minimum of $1,500 in addition to putting on some serious road mileage on their shoes. The event is not for the light of heart, but it is also one of the most rewarding fundraising events available from the MS Society.

Team N3kk1d volunteer team captain Steph Ford and Team N3kk1d alumnus Sloth have walked and worked at the event since its inception in 2009. Beginning officially in 2011, the two of them now participate as members of Team LaDorkas. This cadre of spunky women hail from all over the United States and we are honored to partner with them for Challenge Walk MS.

2011 brought unprecedented success to the Door County Challenge Walk. This small but dedicated group trudged through wind, rain, and cold to bring in $346,000 event-wide. This brings a four-year total to more than ONE MILLION. Unbelieveable? Not at all: check out the 2011 Challenge Walk video and watch the event in action!

The 2012 Door County Challenge Walk is slated for September 21st through the 23rd, and online registration is already open. Join Team LaDorkas and meet the challenge!
